As the school year begins, Paula Sheldon and Kay DiStefano are in contact with the CCPS school nurses to find out the most needed items to help the school population.
Here's what they need so far:
  • girls and boys underwear - all sizes
  • children and adult sweatpants
  • juice boxes
  • goldfish crackers
  • snacks
Here's the link to the photos taken week of Sept 22nd, when delivering food, water, and clothing to some of the schools.

We've gotten great feedback that our donations are making a positive difference as the nurses help the children in their schools.

Some of our retired colleagues have moved on; geographically, that is! If that's your situation, you can still participate in our community outreach

Our treasurer keeps a "KIDS FUND" donation total that is made available for Kay and Paula to shop for the nurses. Just make a check payable to CecilRSPA and write “Kids Fund Donation” in the lower left corner.

Mail your check to Tony Mattern, 160 Willard Drive, North East, MD 21901-1631

Ways We Support Education

One of the ways we supported our school community is by purchasing supplies for students.

  • Staff members are always looking for ways to enhance student learning. We provide mini grants to several staff during the school year. This link will show you who received grants.
  • Investing in the future of education is important for our country to grow. Thus we award scholarships for juniors who are enrolled in education. Here are the scholarships awardees.
  • Thank You...For helping future leaders of America

Cecil County RSPA would like to thank all our generous donors who have given in the past, present, and future to our Kids and Scholarship funds. These worthy contributions have helped numerous students in our school and our future teachers. As a Tax-exempt [509(a)(2)] Public Charity organization recognized by both Federal and Maryland, donations may be tax deductible depending on your tax situation. Please check with your tax preparer.
